Pupils discover value of rich history


PUPILS from 11 schools around Nelson Mandela Bay have collated research as part of an exhibition titled Promoting, Preserving and Adding Value to our Heritage in the Age of Hope.


The second phase of the R1.4-million National Lotteries Board-sponsored educational exhibition was held at the PE District Education Department offices at the Ethel Valentine Building in Sidwell yesterday.


Participating schools – Machui, Triomf and Sapphire Road primary schools, KwaMagxaki, Hillside, Lungisa and Booysen Park high schools, Uitenhage, Chatty and Arcadia senior secondary schools, and Bethelsdorp Comprehensive School – used narration, slides, music and poetry to share their findings.
