‘Metro struggled to get update on IPTS graft from Hawks’

A top Bay official could not brief the National Treasury on the criminal investigation into widespread looting of the city’s Integrated Public Transport System (IPTS) because he was unable to secure a meeting with the Hawks.

This startling revelation is contained in a letter sent by then acting city manager Anele Qaba to the Treasury on October 1, after  it  requested an update on all civil and criminal cases related to the metro’s bus system...
