Hit men found guilty of murder

Three hit men behind the killing of state witnesses were found guilty of murder in the Port Elizabeth High Court on Thursday. The court found that they were behind the killing of state witness Zanela Jonga.
They were each sentenced to life imprisonment.
Judge Dayalin Chetty said the cellphone evidence linking the men to the offence was unwavering.
Chetty said there were no substantial and compelling circumstances which could convince him to deviate from the prescribed minimum sentence.
Chetty found that after state witness Jonga pointed Ndumiso Booi out as the person who robbed her in April 2013, Booi ordered Mzolimo Makisi and Mawethu Khaka to kill her.
