Authentic tapas food
ARE you looking for good old fashioned tapas-style food?
Then look no further than Caza Tapaz along Third Avenue Walmer.
The restaurant which opened its doors last week is owned and managed by Rozelle van der Vyver and her stepson, Dominic Robnik.
Caza Tapaz offers patrons authentic-styled tapas food as well as one or two of their specialities.
"The chile con carne is to die for,” laughed Van der Vyver.
The menu also boasts homemade vegetarian burgers, as well as steaks and beef burgers for those wanting to stick to what they know.
"The Devil mushrooms are not for the faint-hearted and are very, very hot,” explained Robnik.
There is also a selection of Austrian baked breads on offer.
The restaurant, which has a fully-stocked bar for those popping in for a drink after work, opens up to the deck area.
Children are welcome.
Van der Vyver has been in the food business for several years and has previously owned House Of Coffees in the Greenacres shopping centre, and the former Zebra in Walmer.
She said they hope to incorporate live entertainment in the future.
But for now they offer their patrons a well-priced meal and drinks, and a good evening out.
The first 100 customers to visit the restaurant tomorrow will receive a Smirnoff storm or ice.
The restaurant is open from Monday to Saturday from 12 noon to 11pm.
The kitchen closes at 10pm.
