Gesture makes day
THIS previous Sunday after church I went to the Spar at Sunridge Park to purchase their Sunday lunch – which is very good by the way.
I then proceeded to the cashier to pay. While waiting to be attended to, the cashier on my right reached over to me, asking for my purchase!
I smiled at her, handing over the purchase and cash.
"No, not your money," she said and then informed me that the man at her counter wished to pay for it. I was rather overcome by this generous act by this lovely smiling man.
So I went across to thank him with much hugging.
I never asked his name, but I am sure he realised how grateful I was for this very kind act.
He truly made my day. I am an "old lady" pensioner.
