Traumatised EMS workers to receive police escorts for ‘no-go’ zones

Nelson Mandela Bay’s emergency medical services (EMS) workers are so traumatised by being targeted by criminals that they will no longer enter hotspot areas without a police escort.

But the delay in driving to a police station first before collecting patients from the townships and rural areas could put lives at risk. ..
