PE rape accused to get trial date



A 26-year-old man accused of raping a severely mentally disabled woman will find out on Tuesday when his trial will start in the Port Elizabeth High Court.
It is alleged that on June 25 2016 the woman, 20, who is not being named because she is a victim of a sex crime, accompanied the man to a tavern in Kwadwesi to buy beers.
According to the indictment, he took her to a bushy area on their way to the tavern, and raped her.
