Grey sex scandal shock

GREY High is the latest in a string of Nelson Mandela Bay schools to be hit by a sex scandal, with a former pupil tracking his teacher down all the way to England to confront him over a sexual assault dating back 27 years.

The victim, now 43, said he was just 16 when his English teacher at the time hypnotised him before performing sexual acts on him.

Stephen Grobbelaar, 53, was teaching history at Windlesham Property College in West Sussex when his demons finally caught up with him.

Although he has not been prosecuted, the secretary of state for education in the United Kingdom found him guilty of unprofessional conduct after Grobbelaar admitted to the molestation.

He was effectively barred last month from teaching at any school in England.

The Herald was unable to reach Grobbelaar for comment yesterday.

Grey High School rector Neil Crawford said the incident occurred during the rectorship of Dieter Pakendorf.
