Two suspected gangsters shot

TWO men believed to be connected to gangs behind the recent spate of New Brighton shootings have been shot at in less than 24 hours.
Melikhaya Haya, 25, was shot and wounded in Mafukuzela Street, Zwide, at about 3pm yesterday.
While police sources indicate Haya was connected to the past month's shootings, police spokeswoman Warrant Officer Thembi Gwe declined to confirm the link. "We will investigate all angles but at this stage the motive is unknown and the possibility of this being tied to gangs will be looked at. - Gareth Wilson and Kathryn Kimberley
