Police seek help to identify shot woman

THE public are being asked to help to identify the body of a woman who was shot in the head in Perseverance, Port Elizabeth, yesterday.

The woman, believed to be in her 30s, was found in an open field.

Police spokesman Warrant Officer Basil Seekoei said they were notified shortly after 9am when a security guard heard gunshots and found the body.

The security guard saw a metallic brown coloured Isuzu double cab bakkie, with a blue stripe on the side, speeding away as he approached.

"The body was found with two gunshot wounds to the head. The motive for the killing is not known. Detectives are following up leads," Seekoei said.
