HOME-SCHOOLED pupils from Bushman's River and Kenton-on-Sea were given the opportunity to show their talents in track and field events at the annual Eastern Province Christian Schools Sporting Association Zonal Athletics meeting at the Oval Stadium in Port Elizabeth last week.

The Sunshine Coast Crusaders team, consisting of homeschoolers from Bushman's, Kenton and pupils from Shining Stars School, excelled and finished second overall out of the seven participating schools.

Hannah Chowles was awarded the Junior Victrix Ludorum and her brother, Jonathan Chowles the Senior Victor Ludorum.

Jonathan and Hannah also set new records, along with fellow team members, Licebo Nkohlu, Kyran Beech, Johnny du Toit, Steven Walker and Michaela Chowles.

"We are very proud of their achievements and wish them all of the best for the Regional Athletics meeting to be held on September 6,” said home-school parent Liezelle Chowles.
