Premium tasting in store at Bay’s WINEderland

Making exceptional wine requires a lot of trust. Trust in the terroir and the strength of the vines. Trust that the rain will come and the birds will stay away. Trust in the wild yeasts to ferment, the tanks to soften and the barrels to age. Trust in time to work its magic.
That is how Perdeberg Wines approaches its wines and why it was selected as winery of choice for the TOPS at SPAR Wine Show's Private Premium Tasting at WINEderland in Port Elizabeth next week. There are five TOPS at SPAR wine shows around the country and the Bay event will be at the Boardwalk from Thursday to Saturday July 26 to 28.
If you are curious to know what a five-star, double gold wine tastes like, or if you just love wine, pre-book your spot for the Perdeberg Private Premium tasting at R250 per person, which also includes your access to the show, by contacting bookings@wineshow.co.zaThose wanting to learn more about wine or just looking to refresh their oenophile status need look no further than the show’s interactive wine theatres. This year there will be two such venues packed with decadent delights and olfactory insights for everyone from sommeliers to sommer regular folks. Daily in the Weekend Post Wine Theatre you’ll find a TOPS at SPAR tasting featuring Olive Brook wines from their private label of easy-drinking, good value wines.
You will experience four wines in each session that will feature the top sellers, blended wines and a taste experience to test your taste buds. Also on the cards is a glass and wine pairing by Core Catering to get to the bottom of the great glass debate, as well as a beer, wine and dine experience by Perdeberg, showcasing the diversity and compatibility of craft beer, wine and food.In the second venue, the #SAwineshowcase Theatre, Hashtag Radio personality Jon Meinking will present the equivalent of wine speed-dating. This intimate experience will be presented as a blind tasting to eliminate any bias towards varietal, region, farm and price as far as possible.
