Amanda Strydom sings in PE

Veteran Afrikaans performer Amanda Strydom is performing Die Hele Boksemdaais in Port Elizabeth next week on Tuesday, October 18. This performance is described as “vintage Amanda”. Strydom is celebrating her 60th birthday and her 37th year in the entertainment industry with a selection of songs from her impressive repertoire. The show also includes excerpts from her various one-woman shows and anecdotes from her life and career. True to Strydom, this show covers a wide spectrum of emotions, from the hilarious to moving pathos. Die Hele Boksemdaais won a Fiesta award this year for best achievement in a music-driven production. Strydom will be accompanied by talented Coenraad Rall. The production, to be staged at the Little Theatre in Belmont Terrace, Central, is at 7 for 7.30pm. Tickets at R140 per person are available from Westway Cafe on (041) 365-0217.
