Young achievers recognised

From accountants to athletes celebrated on diverse Top 40 list

MARKING the fourth edition of the annual programme, the Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber launched its 2015 Top 40 Under 40 initiative last night.

The initiative aims to showcase and assist young business achievers in Nelson Mandela Bay who are under the age of 40 and who have been identified by the chamber as talented and ambitious entrepreneurs, small business owners or corporate leaders from diverse sectors in the Bay.

The convener of the initiative, Nicole Klokow, said the annual list of 40 – which drew nominations from members of the business chamber as well as the general public – was a celebration of the contribution made to business by young people under 40.

“Each year, the business chamber calls for nominations.

“The final list – decided upon by a high-calibre panel of judges – is published in a magazine each February, and distributed to business chamber members, its partners and stakeholders, and the general public, and made available online throughout the year,” Klokow said.
