Council finally passes budget

In just over a week, Nelson Mandela Bay residents will have to pay 7.7% more on property rates, 7.5% more for water, sanitation and refuse and 13.04% more for electricity, subject to approval by the national energy regulator of SA (Nersa).

The new tariffs will kick in on July 1 after the council finally approved the 2019/2020 budget after four previous failed attempts...
