GALLERY | Omotoso's flamboyant outfits set tongues wagging

Although the trial of pastor Timothy Omotoso and his co-accused is a very serious affair, due to the criminal charges they face, his colourful outfits worn on each of the three trial days this week have been cause for comment and a few lighter moments in court.
The flamboyant Nigerian pastor accused of rape and human trafficking would not have been out of place at the Mandela Bay Fashion Week now running at the Tramways, not far from the Port Elizabeth High Court.
Spectators have been vocal about his out-there dress sense so Weekend Post asked leading Bay men’s wear designer Heinz Schmidt, of Heinz in Style, for his verdict on the flashy pastor’s sartorial style.
“The reverend most definitely has a dandyish side,” said Weekend Post’s style adviser.
“His facial expressions display an almost hedonistic pleasure in his very individualistic appearance.
“He is stylish – not necessarily fashionable, but certainly trying his best to make a fashion statement!”
● Weekend Post views the charges against Pastor Timothy Omotoso as extremely serious and this tongue-in-cheek look at his fashion choices in no way downplays the severity of trauma which his alleged victims may have suffered.
