Massive effort needed by Framesby against Oakdale

Fresh from tackling Southern Cape powerhouse Outeniqua, Framesby face another daunting challenge when they host Riversdale’s Oakdale Agricultural in the Bay on Saturday.
The PE side have had some tough outings this term, losing to Grey High and Outeniqua, and it will not get any easier this weekend.
Oakdale have proved highly competitive this year, losing only a handful of games.
Significantly, they are coming off wins against Paarl Boys’ High (47-29) and Marlow (47-3), so it will take a massive effort by the home team to stop a losing sequence.Framesby also registered a win over Marlow (27-16), but they will need to step up gear against the Riversdale lads.
One of the season’s keen derbies takes place in Uitenhage when Brandwag test themselves against their Humansdorp rivals, Nico Malan.
Both sides have produced some notable results, this year, but the Uitenhagers have the better record and should be favoured to get another win.
However, after relatively comfortable wins in their last two matches against Otto du Plessis (74-11) and Despatch (29-13), they will know that Nico Malan pose a much more serious threat.
The visitors themselves will be fired up to get back on the winning track after recent losses to Graeme and Kingswood.
Westering will be the venue for what should be a fascinating showdown when the home side tackle Woodridge.
The teams have produced a series of impressive performances so far, with Woodridge suffering losses only against Despatch and Kingswood, while Westering’s sole reversal came against Cambridge.
St Andrew’s will be looking to bounce back from their loss to Dale when they host another Border side, Queen’s, in Grahamstown.
In addition, the Queenians will be reeling from another mauling at the hands of Selborne, going down 76-13 in East London on Saturday.
Grey High finish off their season when they travel to East London for their annual derby with Selborne on Thursday.
