Callies finally open account

CALLIES recorded their first win of the season at the weekend when they romped home to a 4-1 win over PE Homerovers in a Pefa Premier League fixture played in Londt Park.

A goal by Kurt Petersen saw the home side lead 1-0 at the break.

In the second half, Warren Reid made it 2-0 before Aphiwe Mgolombane pulled a goal back for Homerovers. But their joy was short-lived as Petersen and Razaan Safedien completed the rout.

At the Lawson Brown High School field, Hearts maintained their unbeaten run with a 2-1 win over Forresters.

A brace by Robert Yuill saw Hearts lead 2-0 at half time. Becu Jacobs pulled one back for Forresters in the second half.

Warriors, who finished as runners-up in the Nafa Easter Tournament, lost 4-3 to NMB Municipality at the Westbourne Oval.

In another high-scoring match, defending champions Central Acemates and KwaDwesi Allstars drew 4-4.
