SWD champions on good wicket

SOUTH Western Districts cricket champions Union Stars, who recorded two victories last weekend, have joined Pacaltsdorp United at the top of the log on 38 points, but Stars have the advantage of having a game in hand.
This comes after Union Stars registered a close two-wicket win over their rivals on Sunday after Pacaltsdorp had made a competitive total of 179/7.
A day earlier, Stars completed a comfortable victory over Mayflower, bundling them out for 46 after making 118.
Sussex (182/6) recorded a much-needed 96-run victory in the derby clash against Mossel Bay (86), while George (75/9) were victorious after they had dismissed Pirates United for 75.
Harlequins Forces had a disappointing weekend, losing both matches.
On Saturday, they lost by 95 runs against Pacaltsdorp United, followed by a 74-run defeat at the hands of Mossel Bay.
