Letter: MPs’ behaviour poor

FOR the last couple of weeks we, the South African citizens and interested parties around the world, have witnessed a circus in our parliament! The behaviour of party leaders, cabinet ministers and members of parliament has been quite frankly disgraceful.

They have behaved like primary schoolchildren, hurling personal insults at one another.

What sort of image do they think they are projecting to the outside world and, more importantly, potential foreign investors?

They should all be ashamed of themselves!

With so many critical issues such as unemployment, the economy, the education and health crises, and others to be addressed and resolved, why don’t these “responsible honourable members” get down to doing the work for which they were elected?

The sooner these leaders of our beloved country stop their petty squabbles and get down to the critical issues the better!
