Money must be used on the poor citizens

MILLIONS were requested from council for the 20year celebrations. Can you imagine the audacity to utilise millions to celebrate while people are lacking the basics? Luckily the budget was reduced.

The world must be wondering how we can celebrate while our healthcare and education are in a mess. Such decisions by parties in the current economic climate will not go down well.

It is a clear indication that some people are not interested in the poor man or his needs. The city cannot afford this lavish spending of our funds.

The money must be spent on projects that enhance the lives of the poor. Celebrate and party, but source the funding elsewhere. There are far more urgent matters that need funding.
