Lawn mowed, but clippings left

ON Monday February 24 our local park on the corner of Van Wyk and Moregrove roads in Westering was mowed by the NMBM's contracted lawn mowing company. They were quick and seemed an improvement on previous contractors!

However on closer inspection I noticed that they had not bothered to pick up papers and litter prior to mowing – something any self respecting contractor should do – and they have now scattered the litter over a wider area.

The grass had been raked into neat piles (minus litter) and a week later it had still not been taken away! Where are the children supposed to play?

This contractor should not be paid by the municipality for the shoddy work. He obviously can't cope with the workload.

It's about time that the municipality followed up on the work that it outsources – or maybe it just couldn't be bothered!
