Mandoza's family asks for prayers as he recovers at home

There is confusion over the health of musician Mandoza after a statement was released saying he is “fighting for his life”.

Mandoza’s wife‚ Mpho‚ on Tuesday confirmed to TMG Entertainment that the musician was at home.

When asked for further details‚ Mpho referred us to a statement released by the family and asked for privacy during this time.

The statement reads as follows:

“A great Son of our Mzansi Soil is in trouble. Mandoza Nkalakatha is fighting for his life after having cancer treatment in 2015. It has unfortunately metastasized to his brain. Doctors and medical staff are trying whatever they can and we are not giving up hope for his recovery.”

eNCA is however reporting that his family has said that while his condition is serious they are still waiting for “additional medication from abroad“.

“Mandoza’s family says the kwaito star is not critical nor fighting for his life‚” reports eNCA.

The news site says that while all performances by Mandoza have been cancelled‚ he will still be performing at the Thank YOU SABC Music Concert at Orlando Stadium this weekend.
