Another arrest in Jayde murder case

The Herald can reveal that another person has been arrested in connection with Jayde Panayiotou's murder.

Sinethemba Nenembe, 28, appeared briefly in the Port Elizabeth's Magistrate's Court this morning.

The state alleges that Nenembe assisted alleged hitman to kidnap and kill Panayiotou at the instruction of her husband, Christopher.

The suspect was already in custody at the St Albans Correctional Facility in Port Elizabeth in connection with the murder of 72-year-old Denise Webber on 20 August 2015 in Kabega Park, when detectives uncovered evidence that positively linked him to the Panayioutou murder.

Jayde was abducted outside her Kabega Park townhouse complex at about 6.30am on 21 April, 2015.

Her body was found on a farm in Rocklands near Uitenhage the next day.

Jayde's husband, who is accused of orchestrating her abduction and murder,  2, when he is due back in court.
