Murder accused puts blame on his friend

ONE of the men accused of a double murder which took place in Schauderville in 2011 yesterday laid all the blame on his co-accused and said he had no part in the planning or execution of the crimes.

Sheldon du Plessis, 22, of North End, was cross-examined by senior state prosecutor Jason Thysse at the Port Elizabeth High Court. He said his co-accused was responsible for the murders and robberies.

Du Plessis and Ryan Thomas, 24, of Schauderville, are charged with stabbing Allen Dace and Bernadito Reid to death in the early hours of October 30 2011. They have pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder and two counts of robbery. -
