Policeman tells of shootout drama

A POLICEMAN who was involved in an undercover operation to stop the planned theft of millions of rands of liquid platinum in Deal Party in Port Elizabeth in 2011 was cross-examined yesterday about how police officers opened fire at the scene.

Six alleged members of the gang behind the planned heist died in a shootout with the police.
