THE Nafa season ended with a thrilling finale at the Gelvandale Stadium on Sunday with Glenville and Bloom Callies playing to a goalless draw.

The draw was enough for Glenville to retain the premier league trophy.

Just two months ago, Callies had a comfortable nine-point cushion.

Meanwhile, at the bottom of the log it was a sad day for soccer in Malabar when Shamrocks played their last premier league match, going down 3-1 to Westlake.

From a thriving league which operated as PE South and included teams like Glenville, Primrose, Stella and Woolhope Rialto, only Shamrocks and Ramblers remain. Both will play in the first division next year.
