Londt Park B women stay top
SUNRIDGE SuperSpar Londt Park B continued to show they are the top side in their club, as well as the province, by defeating counterparts Londt Park C 12-5 in the EP women's first squash league this week.
The result follows last week's 9-7 result against the Londt Park A team and firmly installs Jacqui Ryder's B outfit as favourites for the title.
The clash against the C team, however, was no walkover, with the losing side picking up games in each match. Bianka la Mude was pushed all the way to defeat Annemie Tait in five, but the B team held the edge to take maximum points.
With NMMU A having a bye following Rhodes' withdrawal from the men's first league, Londt Park B kept up their challenge on the log-leaders.
Greg la Mude's team outclassed the NMMU B side 12-1 for the second successive maximum haul in the second half and they will need to continue in that vein to keep up the pressure on champions NMMU A.
