Friends enter their 1928 Ford Model A pickup in adventure rally to deliver shoes to thousands of needy children in remote rural schools

Two old friends from Gqeberha, who drove their classic Ford 8,500km through six African countries and distributed thousands of pairs of shoes to needy children, have returned home in triumph.

Jacques Coetzee, 53, and Jose le Roux, 44, both of Cotswold Extension, took part in the 10th anniversary of the Put Foot Rally — surviving bone-shaking roads, a burst fuel tank, multiple wrong-turns and wandering elephants along the way...
