Court ruling makes provision of physical items or public medical assistance possible
Courts in SA will now have the scope to consider ordering alternative compensation — instead of one lump-sum payment — to those injured as a result of medical negligence.
This means the courts may rule that the health department provide physical items or public medical assistance in the future, instead of money, should it be required by the victims...
