Woman shot in head over love affair

A woman was shot in the head in front of her family at their home in Motherwell, Eastern Cape police said on Wednesday.
On Tuesday night, an unknown person entered the home in Sihlungu street, handed the 39-year-old woman a letter and shot her in the head, said Warrant Officer Dumile Gwavu.
"The letter is alleged to have a love affair as the reason for the shooting and the police are investigating an attempted murder case," he said.
The woman was taken to hospital where she is in a stable condition.
