Plan to bring Swedish doctors to Bay flounders

AN AMBITIOUS plan to bring Swedish doctors to Port Elizabeth has become so entangled in red tape the project is in jeopardy.

Chief executive of the Igazi Foundation Cole Cameron said they had been trying for months to get the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) to register the doctors on a volunteer basis.

But Cameron said when they finally received an answer it was so confusing the doctors with the Swedish South Africa Haematology Initiative found it impossible to complete any of the forms.
