Whisky Inggs Cup at U'hage only

THERE has been a change in venue for the Barclays Whisky Inggs Cup, which will now be contested only at the Uitenhage Bowling Club this weekend.

In previous years, this event was co-hosted by Despatch but the entire competition can be accommodated at Uitenhage.

Holders Mill Park showed in the recent leagues that they will once again field a competitive combination, but they can expect tough opposition from league winners Westview. Only six points separate the top six teams in the league.

A total of 21 women's teams head for East London today for the start of the All Cape, to be hosted by Old Selbornians.

The two Woods teams, headed by Bev Treadway and Barbara Coetzee, are well balanced, while progress of Moira Buchanan's promising Uitenhage outfit will be followed closely.
