Protesting students locked out of college

PROTESTS continued at the Port Elizabeth College yesterday, with students locked out of the main campus in Russell Road.

About 150 students protested after not getting the desired response to their demands last week.

Students claimed they had been blocked from entering the premises, with only students taking term courses allowed in as the time for them to write exams is close.

College vice-principal Sandy Raubenheimer said students had been locked out. "Classes are not normal now. No classes are taking place at the moment," she said. -
