Fogarty's Bookshop has invited a writer who suffered the loss of two of her children to discuss her novel, which deals with a similar theme, next week at the GFI Art Gallery. Port Elizabeth first-time writer Mia Henry drew on her own tragic experiences to write A Mother’s Sin, which she self-published under AuthorHouse.
Henry’s novel is based not only on the death of a child but also on her own mother’s “sin” and asks the question: Do a mother’s actions affect a family, and lead to tragedy? The book launch will see Henry discuss her novel, at 5.30 for 6pm next week on Thursday August 31, at the art gallery in Park Drive.
