Jo Black will sing at Greenbushes

Construction worker-turned-singer performs 'inspirational, pub rock' tunes

Pretoria musician Jo Black will be in Port Elizabeth on Friday, August 17 to perform at the Barn in Greenbushes.
The Afrikaans singer songwriter – formerly a construction worker where he built everything from roads to bridges, to hospitals and houses – is now working on his first album.
Black’s music has been described as pub rock and inspirational, depending on the venue at which he is playing – but he always wants it to be easy listening and, ideally, leave you with a smile.
Part of this is wanting to empower people to be the best version of themselves, and Black also has launched the “Be That Guy” movement, aimed at bringing positive changes in society.
He wants it to be a movement which encourages people to care, to look out for each other and to help create the change they want to see in the world.
The Barn is at 66 Blomme Avenue, and the show starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are on sale at Westway Cafe in Cape Road.
