How to enter: 

  1. Purchase your Herald or Weekend Post. 
  2. Complete and cut out the original entry form on page 2. 
  3. Entry forms can be dropped off at the below points: 

TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. The promotors are Arena Holdings (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2012/074397/07, whose registered office is at Hill on Empire, 16 Empire Road, Parktown, Gauteng and Kelston Motor Group, registration number 1977/022356/07, whose registered office is at 1 Moffett Retail, William Moffett, Fairview, Gqeberha.
  2. Employees of Arena Holdings (Pty) Ltd and Kelston Motor Group or any family member of any of the aforementioned or any person connected in any way with the competition or helping to set up the competition shall not be permitted to enter.
  3. This competition is open to South African citizens and permanent residents of SA. Only persons with a valid driver’s license, proof of address and South African ID who are 18 or older will be considered for the main prize. The competition commences at 09h00 Monday, 14 March 2022 and ends at 17h00 Friday, 6 May 2022, both days inclusive. After end date & time, no further entries to the competition will be permitted. The final draw will take place on Tuesday, 10 May 2022 at 10h00.
  4. To enter, customers need to purchase The Herald or the Weekend Post newspaper, cut out and complete their details on the entry form, which can be found in the newspaper on page 2 and place it in the dedicated entry boxes at the Kelston Motor Group dealerships, The Herald Offices or selected retail outlets.  
  5. One entry form is equal to one entry; multiple entries per person will be allowed. Only completed entry forms will be considered valid and eligible for the draw. The entry form needs to be an original copy of The Herald or Weekend Post newspaper. No photocopies allowed.
  6. Existing and new Herald and Weekend Post digital subscribers will be able to enter the competition. Digital subscribers will need to go to The Herald Offices, The Atrium Centre, 24 Ring Road, Greenacres, Gqeberha to redeem the vouchers to date. Digital subscribers will receive one entry, per publishing date, into the competition.  Subscribers will manually fill out all the entry forms at The Herald Offices. Digital subscribers cannot leave The Herald Offices with the Win A Car entry forms.
  7. The promotor cannot be held liable for any entries not received before the closing date for whatsoever reason.
  8. By entering, you agree to receive future marketing from Arena Holdings (Pty) Ltd and Kelston Motor Group. The entrant can opt out at any time by contacting the relevant parties.
  9. Final draw will take place on Tuesday, 10 May 2022 at 10h00 in the Kelston Motor Group  Hyundai Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha), William Moffett Express Way. Winner will be drawn at random by way of a lucky draw, from all entries received. Winner does not have to be present at final draw to be eligible to win. Winner will be contacted telephonically and announced on the HeraldLive Facebook Page: www.facebook.co.za/heraldlive.
  10. Main prize and final draw will consist of a vehicle to the value of R 180 900 incl VAT.
  11. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no further correspondence will be entered into.
  12. All necessary documentation required and requested by Arena Holdings (Pty) Ltd and Kelston Motor Group must be provided by the winner upon collection of his/her prize, or the winner will forfeit his/ her prize and a new winner will be drawn. Winner will be contacted telephonically and required to come to the Kelston Motor Group dealership to verify documentation. If the winner does not have appropriate documentation, the draw will be invalid, and a new winner will be drawn.
  13. All necessary documentation must be provided by winner within 48 hours of final draw.
  14. If any winner is found to be in breach of the competition Terms and Conditions, Arena Holdings (Pty) Ltd and Kelston Motor Group reserves the right to claim the prize back from the winner and re-draw. Re-draw will take place on Thursday, 12 May 2022 at 10h00.

  17. The vehicle will be awarded in showroom condition. Should the vehicle not be in showroom condition Kelston Motor Group will do the necessary to bring it up to standard or replace if it need be. Arena Holdings (Pty) Ltd and Kelston Motor Group are not liable for any visible or hidden defects in the prize nor for any damage during delivery of the prize. Any additional costs will be for the prize winner’s expense.
  18. Prize is subject to availability and Arena Holdings (Pty) Ltd and Kelston Motor Group reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice. Prize will not be converted to cash.
  19. The promoters reserve the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any other event outside of the promoter's control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants in an appropriate manner as soon as possible by the promoter.
  20. All participants and winners indemnify Arena Holdings (Pty) Ltd and Kelston Motor Group as its promoters, advertising agencies, advisers, suppliers, affiliates and/or associated companies against any and all claims of any nature whatsoever arising out of and/or from their participation in any way in this competition including as a result of any act or omission, whether as a result of negligence, misrepresentation, misconduct or otherwise on the part of promoters/agents and/or the use of prizes.
  21. The promoters are not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
  22. The winner agrees to the use of his/her name in any publicity material. The image of the winner may also be used in any promotional material unless the winner specifically states otherwise. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant's prior consent. The winner will be announced publicly in the next available edition of The Herald or Weekend Post, as well as all promoters Social Media platforms.
  23. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  24. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by South African law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
