CHAMPIONS NMMU A completed their first round programme with another full haul of points against Sunridge SuperSpar Londt Park A in the EP men's first squash league this week.
This means the varsity side claimed maximum points in their clashes against the two Londt Park outfits, boosting their chances of retaining the title. There is one more round of fixtures in the first half, but NMMU A have a bye next week.
Their closest rivals, Londt Park B, will be back in action next week after a bye on Tuesday and will be looking to finish strongly in an away fixture against Profiles.
The home side will be no pushovers. They lie third on the log on 71 points and extended NMMU A by winning two matches in their encounter last month.
Although Profiles will probably battle to win the league, they are capable of causing damage to the title contenders.
The matches involving Rhodes teams for the rest of the first half have been postponed because of exams.
