“MY biggest regret is when the rest of the world sees this kind of officiating they laugh at Africa. They will not take us seriously, and that is a concern.” That was Stuart Baxter’s reaction to Kaizer Chiefs’ ill-tempered 3-2 aggregate loss against A S Vita in the Caf Champions League on Saturday.

The Chiefs coach still maintained in his post-match interview after his side’s 2-0 victory on the night at FNB Stadium that Amakhosi had been capable of overturning the 3-0 deficit from the first leg in the Democratic Republic of Congo a week ago.

But he said referee Rainhold Shikongo’s “questionable decisions and a cheating” opposition meant his side never stood a chance.
