THE highlight of the second round of the bowls league was the comprehensive 7-0 win by Despatch over Walmer in the men's league.
Also notable was the 5-2 victory of The Woods women over Walmer, mainly in view of the league winning potential of these clubs.
The remaining results were much as to be expected.
The EP teams enjoyed a successful outing to Knysna and emerged victorious against Eden (formerly Southern Cape) with both the men and women B teams doing particularly well.
Stan Michell has replaced Dave Morton in the men's senior team to travel to Pretoria.
Another busy weekend awaits with the league tomorrow being followed by the EP Mixed Pairs play-offs at The Woods on Sunday.
The competition now moves into the knockout phase to get the remaining 17 section winners down to the five finalists for the finals early in March.
