THE two frontrunners in the Nebfa Sedgars Premier League log will be in action at the New Brighton Oval tomorrow evening.

Log leaders PE Sundowns will favour their chances of retaining top spot when they play CCX Callies, who are having a disappointing season, in the second match of the evening.

Sundowns were thrashed 3-0 by Dodgers last Saturday and were gifted three points when PE United failed to turn up for their match on Sunday.

Dodgers, who are tied in second place, play defending champions Real White City in the late game. City are just inside the top eight.

Red City, who are tied with Dodgers in second place, could also struggle when they play City Lads at the Chevrolet Stadium on Saturday.

Tomorrow (New Brighton Oval): Eastern Jumpers v City Defenders, CCX Callies v PE Sundowns, Dodgers v Real White City

Saturday (Chevrolet Stadium): City Lads v Red City, Bush Bucks v Amakhosi.

Sunday (Chevrolet Stadium): Stinging Bees v Black Stars, PE United v Boast Pirates, Roaring Tigers v Winter Rose.

--------------- WITH just nine points separating 12 teams the battle for supremacy in the Nodefa VW Community Trust Premier League will continue this weekend.

Golden Chiefs, who top the log on goal difference, should have an easy match against City Style at the Jabavu Stadium on Saturday. Joint log-leaders Really Rangers play Mbabala Young Stars on Sunday.

Stars trail Rangers by one point but have a better goal difference.

Kabah United Brothers, who are tied with Stars in second place, play New City Stars in the early match.

Although New City are ninth on the log, they are just seven points adrift.
