WOULD anybody be able to advise me as to how I go about applying for a war veteran's pension?
I served in the Royal Navy from 1941 to 1945, and saw service in the South and North Atlantic convoys as well as in the Burma Campaign. I have the Atlantic Star and Burma Star medals to confirm my involvement.
I recently spoke to a man at an old age pensioners' function regarding this matter.
His reply was that he thought there were only a few, if any, veterans still alive.
Well, I am 90 years old, and still alive and kicking.
