The Panayiotou trial resumes in the Port Elizabeth High Court today with the state and defence expected to start delivering closing arguments.

The marathon trial – which has lasted more than a year – has seen dozens of witnesses testify including police officers, cellphone experts and Christopher Panayiotou’s mistress Chanelle Coutts.

Panayiotou is accused of plotting the murder of his wife Jayde in April 2015. He is accused with Sinethemba Nenembe and Zolani Sibeko.

The state is expected to deliver final arguments today, follow by the defence tomorrow.
