Police in Nelson Mandela Bay arrested a suspected robber after he crashed an allegedly stolen car in KwaDwesi on Saturday night.
This after four armed men allegedly kicked down the door at a house in Rarabe Street, KwaNobuhle, and demanded the keys to a Volkswagen Polo parked outside.
“The suspects also took cellphones and laptops from the house before fleeing in the stolen Polo,” police spokeswoman Captain Gerda Swart said.
Later that night, officers arrested a suspect, 33, after he allegedly tried to flee and crashed the Polo into a lamppost.
