IT is early in the Momentum One-Day Cup competition, but the Chevrolet Warriors could face a definitive weekend of cricket. Two games in three days lie in wait for coach Piet Botha’s side, starting with the Cape Cobras at St George’s Park today, followed by a trip to Maritzburg to face the Dolphins.
Both opponents have been primed by playing against international opposition in the recently completed Champions League T20 and both will be keen to get one over the Eastern Cape franchise.
From a Warriors perspective, victory over a formidable unit tonight will go a long way to creating a springboard from they can launch their season.
