RAISING awareness about rhino poaching will take on a very lifelike form when a life-sized replica of a black rhino goes on display at the Donkin Reserve in Port Elizabeth today.

In an attempt to raise awareness about the plight of the rhino, Addo Elephant National Park's honorary rangers will have the replica on display at the city's iconic landmark between 1pm and 2pm.

After its appearance in Port Elizabeth, the rhino will make its way to Kirkwood tomorrow, where it will spend the weekend at the ranger's exhibition at the Kirkwood Wildsfees.

To raise funds for rhino conservation, the Rangers will also sell raffle tickets today and over the weekend for a miniature crochet model of Shibula, a black rhino from Namibia that came to Addo after spending some time in a Portuguese zoo.

Only five of these models have been made.
