RIEBEEK College Girls High School pupils are already in celebration mode ahead of the school's 137-year reunion weekend next month, which will follow the year's theme of "Be your own kind of be-you-tiful".
Matric classes from the various reunion groups from 1964 to 2004 will descend on the Uitenhage school on May 9 for a fun-filled celebratory programme of assemblies, sports and social events.
The day kicks off with a hockey match and a tea for old girls at Beehive Student Centre and ends off with a luncheon at the Uitenhage Golf Club.
The guest speaker at the assembly will be the school's 1974 head girl and former first team hockey player, Lynn Griffiths, nee Thomas.
Principal Marilyn Woods invites all old girls from the reunion years to join in on the morning programme and to contact the school for further information on (041) 992-2442 if they have lost contact with classmates over the years. - Chanice Koopman
