HE was sent to help remedy the anarchy and administrative woes of the Port Elizabeth College last year, shortly after the resignation of former principal Joy Grobler.

That assignment has been disrupted since his May 2013 arrival by students going on the warpath at times. Now they are calling for his removal, citing a number of burning issues (see article above).

But PE College administrator Leon Beech says he was hired by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) and will work out his one-year contract unless the minister in charge, Blade Nzimande, says otherwise.
