PIG'S blood, an Avril Gordon look-alike and a corrupt plastic surgeon were just some outlandish claims made by Frederick Gordon in his drawn-out trial.
Gordon's bizarre ramblings and outbursts of laughter in the Port Elizabeth Regional Court had state advocate Andre Kirchner biting his tongue on numerous occasions. Not only did Gordon insist that the woman he beat so badly that she nearly died was still in love with him, he claimed the media and police were in cahoots and wanted his pension fund.
He claimed the pictures of Avril's bruised and bloodied face had been doctored by journalists, while at times he insisted it was not Avril in the photos at all. -
