THE DA took its election campaign into the ANC's Limpopo heartland when DA leader Helen Zille launched her party's election manifesto at the Polokwane showgrounds yesterday.

Almost 10000 blue-clad party supporters braved the heat to hear parliamentary leader Lindiwe Mazibuko say the party "would be a blue wave that would cleanse the country of corruption".

In her speech, Zille claimed a new mood was sweeping South Africa. She said much depended on the courage of every South African to choose change, and urged voters to choose the DA on May 7.
